Divine Mercy Chaplet
As revealed by Our Dear Savior to
Saint Mary Faustina (1905-1938)

Our Merciful Savior appeared to a Polish nun, Sister Mary Faustina Kowalska, from 1931 to 1938, giving her many messages, mostly of love and mercy for poor sinners. He also issued several grave warnings of what is in store for humanity if there is not a sincere and lasting return to God.

Our Blessed Mother also appeared to Sr. Faustina in 1936 and said: "My daughter, I gave the world a Savior. You must proclaim His mercy to it, and prepare the world for His Second Coming. He then will come, not as a Merciful Savior, but as a Just Judge. It will be a day of horror, resolved to be the day of justice the day of the wrath of God. Angels tremble before it. Speak to souls of this great mercy while there is still time. If you remain silent now, you will have to account for a great number of souls on that final day. Fear nothing. Be faithful to the end."

Our Dear Lord, through Sr. Faustina, requested a Chaplet of Mercy, particularly, as He told her, to appease the wrath of God. Our Merciful Savior told the nun He would show great mercy to the dying soul if those around the bedside would say the Chaplet.

If this Chaplet has been given to us by God Himself to appease His wrath, we would be wise in these days to recite it often to implore His Mercy upon ourselves, our families, poor sinners and the world.

How to recite the Divine Mercy Chaplet
as Our Lord instructed St. Faustina

The chaplet is to be recited on ordinary Rosary beads.

Begin the Chaplet by reciting the Our Father, Hail Mary and the Apostles Creed.

Before each decade on the Our Father beads the following prayer is recited: Eternal Father I offer Thee the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Thy Most Beloved Son, and Our Lord Jesus Christ in atonement for our sins and the sins of the whole world.

On the Hail Mary beads we say: Through the sorrowful Passion of Jesus, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

In conclusion, after saying the 5 decades, say 3 times:

Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One,
have mercy on us and on the whole world.
